Introducing a brand new painting for 2022. It’s a landscape familiar to those who love Colorado’s North Fork Valley and especially the town of Paonia, where I live and work. I’m actually above the town on one of the surrounding mesas, and last summer fell in love with all the cows that were brought up here to graze the summer fields. “Tres Damas” is my ode to three of those ladies. My sister Nan says that this painting looks like winter melting into spring. I can’t wait for that to happen and for the cows to come back up from where they winter on the valley floor. Of course, in the heat of the summer, I’ll probably long for the cold days of winter, and won’t a painting like this be perfect for a moment like that!
The painting is acrylic on a wooden gesso board with a 1.5″ cradle. It is 18” x 24”, finished on the sides, wired in the back and ready to hang (no framing necessary). Please view all the photos to see its detail. There’s a nice texture on its surface from the many layers of paint on the board’s surface.
Don’t hesitate to ask if you have questions about this piece, would like more photos, and so on. It’s best to send inquiries to email@example.com.
This painting currently hangs at Horse Cow 57 gallery at 116 3rd St., Paonia, CO 81428. Contact me to see it in person.
