Rock Wall Step

Rich, deep, vibrant colors and expressive lines define this abstract painting on heavy, linen-textured paper. I’ve included a couple of photos of this painting in process in my Paonia, Colorado home studio. Scroll through the photos to see the expressive layering and texture. I typically pull my abstract color palettes from 1950’s interior design color swatches and then put my own spin on them so that the resulting artwork accents mid-century modern and contemporary decor. I’ve included photos of this painting in sample rooms and frames to help you envision it in your space. It will be shipped unframed.

“Rock Wall Step” depicts an abstract human form stepping over a rock wall, as its title implies. The head is the turquoise section at the top, with a sneaky round face, facing the viewer (dark circle). The figure has a tiny torso and long, thin legs. The triangle on the bottom right is actually fashion – the big, bell bottom of some flashy red pants.
